Karate-Do

Karate-Do traces its origins back to ancient Okinawan Goju-Ryu, Shotokan Karate, Judo and Aikido, which is defined and characterized by a combination of hard and soft techniques. Throwing, leg sweeps and wrist locks are part of the training program. Goju Ryu has its base probably from Chinese Martial Arts.

Direction of Mind and Body, with this a holistic union is achieved. A healthy Person is Physically strong and sound, grounded by Exercise. A never ending flow of Practice, of Mind Body and Spirit makes you progressive healthier and keeps you healthy. Every Exercise is looked at for its Health benefit. An Unhealthy Worrier is useless. So keeping Healthy is the most important aspect of all the Training.

Syllabus and Techniques

Karate-Do is an extremely practical and effective system of self-defense which always keeps the practitioner's safety in mind. Through a systematic approach, students develop themselves in three distinct phases, eventually gaining their black-belt or first degree. It is a Traditional Martial Art.

  • White Belt - the white belt phase consists primarily of developing simple techniques and movement in a relaxed manner, as well as learning solid principles of self-defense.
  • Green Belt - the green belt, or second stage, is all about free-flowing technique. Students begin to flow one technique into another.
  • Brown Belt - the brown belt, or third stage, is all about focus, direction and power, whilest keeping the flow going.
  • Black Belt - the black belt, is all about unification, staying calm, harmonious and precise in explosive movement's.
